Migrating in

Switching providers usually means losing your reputation and re-emailing people who opted out. rootmail imports both your contacts and your suppression list, so neither happens.

Steps

1. Export your suppression/unsubscribe list from your current provider and import it first.
2. Export your contacts and import them — anyone previously suppressed stays suppressed.
3. Add and verify your sender domain (publish a few DNS records; the dashboard checks them).
4. Swap your send calls to mail.messages.create — the shape is familiar.
5. Point a webhook at your app for delivery + engagement events.
